Sessions

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long.  For EMDR, 75 and 90 minute sessions are also available upon request.

NOTE: During the Covid-19 pandemic, all sessions will be offered virtually via telehealth.


Fees

Please contact me directly about my fees.  Fees are discussed privately with each client in order to create a treatment plan that is suited to your individual needs.

My fees include in between session communication and collaboration with other health care practitioners such as psychiatrists, nutritionists, physicians, schools, and treatment programs.


Insurance

My services may be covered in part or in full by your insurance company.  However, I am not on any insurance panels and am not considered an “in-network” provider.  I am reimbursable by most insurance companies as an “out-of-network” provider.  That means that once you reach your deductible, your insurance company may be able to reimburse you for up to 80% of the cost of a session.  

Here are some questions to ask your insurance carrier:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • What is my out-of-network deductible and has it been met?

  • Once I reach my deductible, what percentage of a session is covered by my insurance?

  • Is there a limit to how many sessions my plan covers per year?

  • Is pre-certification required by my doctor?

At the end of each month, I will provide you an invoice for services rendered that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.


Payment Policy

Payment is due at the time of session.  I accept cash, check, credit card, Paypal, or Venmo.  A 3.5% processing fee will be applied to all credit card transactions. 


Cancellation Policy

I require 24 hours (1 business day) notice if you need to cancel your session.  If you aren’t able to cancel within 24 hours, you will be responsible for payment for the missed session.  If you cancel before then, I will make every attempt to reschedule you within the same week.  In the cases of inclement weather or illness, I will provide you with a phone or video session if you can’t make it in to the office.  Exceptions apply in emergency situations or extreme weather conditions.
